Wow, this is the saddest day in the life of the Edmonton Oilers and their faithful fans. They traded away Ryan Smyth to the New York Islanders for Ryan O'Marray, Robert Nilsson and a 2007 first round pick. Who are those players? I've never even heard of them before?? *sighs* Life must go on.......Go Oilers Go!!!!!!

Yes, it is quite a ridiculous trade. And the Oilers haven't even scored a goal since the trade. They won't make the playoffs. My Canucks on the other hand are looking pretty good. Made a couple solid trades for Smolinski and Sopel, should help.
I was thinking that I might cheer for Vancouver during the playoffs because I'm quite sure that the Oilers are out. But due to Matt's continual cheery bruhaha about the Canucks, I'm pretty sure I want them to lose pretty quick. Thanks for helping me decide, Matt!
